CULTURE FOR MY CHILDREN

An arts program produced by The Pan African Cultural Arts (PACA) Foundation; a 501(C)(3) approved nonprofit arts organization. It is designed to cultivate and develop the visual and theatrical arts talents of children aged 4-21 with a focus on African cultural arts. Participants develop skills in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, poetry recitals, playwriting, music, drumming, dancing, and other forms of theatrical performing arts.

ABOUT OUR CULTURAL ARTS PROGRAM

Culture for my children is a play and learn program for children ages 4-21, that
1) Teaches them KNOWLEDGE about Africa, its beliefs and its rich cultural
heritage in our cultural studies program through music, ,dance, storytelling , language, and other forms of fine and performing arts.
2) Uses the Art of African storytelling to help children understand CUSTOMS ,
MORALS and LAWS to be good and productive members of society
3) Develop skills and creativity in children using African fine/visual and
performing Arts. e program is also designed to coach and develop the visual and
theatrical arts talents in these children.

They learn and develop skills in ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture,
printmaking, design, crafts, Poetry recitals, playwrights, music, drumming and
dancing and other forms of theatrical performing arts using the element of African Art to develop communication skills, complex thinking, problem solving skills, and other lifelong skills to help them excel academically through Fine and
Performing Arts.

The program is also designed to coach and develop the visual and theatrical arts talents in these children. They learn and develop skills in
ceramics, drawing, painting, sculpture, printmaking, design, crafts, Poetry
recitals, playwrights, music, drumming and dancing and other forms of theatrical
performing arts.

It is produced by Pan African Cultural Arts Foundation Incorporated, a US
nonprofit 501 (c) 3 organization that Educates the community about Africans and their rich cultural heritage and promote cultural arts around the world.

WHY THE ARTS

There has been managed studies on Arts and its relevance to children and they have shown that children who are involved in the arts are: 4 times more likely to recognized for academic achievement 3 times more likely to be elected to class office within their schools 4 times more likely to participate in a math and science fair 3 times more likely to be awarded for school attendance. Involvement in the ARTS helps children increase test scores and promote academic achievement.
